SUNDAY SCHOOL OPTIONS
10:00 – 10:50 AM
Children Nursery – 5th Grade
We offer a nursery for newborns - 1 year old and mobile infants and toddlers up to age 3. Children’s Church is offered during both morning worship services. Children 4 and older go to the main sanctuary with their parents and after the Children’s Moments they come with adult chaperones to the Children’s Education Building for their own children’s worship service and activities. Sunday school classes are offered for ages 3-fifth grade in the Children’s Education Building. This building is located just behind and attached to the Administrative Offices. Please enter at the canopied entrance and you will find the classes labeled to help you locate them. Children’s Church is also located here. Parents are required to drop off and pick up children under 6th grade. There are separate classes for Age 3-4, Grades K-1, Grade 2, Grade 3, and Grades 4-5. The curriculum for these classes is rich in Bible foundations and living as a child of Christ.
Youth 6th Grade – 12th Grade
Our sixth graders are engaged in a year-long confirmation study that focuses on our history and heritage as Methodists, what it means to be a Christian and a Methodist, and living as a disciple in our world.
The 7th and 8th graders meet together and study living as a teen Christian.
The senior high class engages in more in-depth Bible Study and helps provide a support system for dealing with issues faced by teens. All of these classes meet in the Family Life Center.
Adult Sunday School Classes
There are currently eight adult classes ready to welcome you. While we do not have a system of organizing classes by sex or age, there are options geared to addressing Bible study with commonality of interests and issues faced at different stages of our faith walk.
The Belin and Mildred Floyd classes use the uniform International Bible Study Series as their main text and are primarily attended by those most senior in their Bible study experience.
The HOPE and Budding Believers classes are generally for young married couples, singles or parents with children and are engaged in book by book Bible Study from a variety of sources.
The Harvest class is our newest adult Sunday School class and also uses the Adult Bible Studies series with an emphasis on application to daily living.
The Sanctuary class (which meets in the Sanctuary) meets for a short Bible study and uses the lectionary Adult Bible Studies series.
The JOY class explores a variety of contemporary authors and teachers to study issues facing Christian families today.
The BUM 101 Class is a six week option offered three times per year and is designed for new members, prospective members or any adults who want to know more about Methodism and opportunities for involvement at Belin.
All adult classes (except the Sanctuary class) meet in the Family Life Center and there is a directory map and signage there to help you locate each class.
