The next LOGOS session takes place Tuesdays at 4:30 PM on February 20 - March 27, 2018.
LOGOS is a 4-part intergenerational program consisting of Bible study, worship skills, recreation, and meal time for children in grades 1-5. Cost is $30 1st child, $25 2nd child, $20 3rd child ($75 family maximum).
- Study Together - Play Together - Eat Together - Sing Together - Pray Together - Grow Together
WHAT IF . . . we would all purposefully treat each other as a CHILD OF GOD? That is the only rule of LOGOS – which is a program for children in grades first through fifth. In less than two weeks, we will begin our next LOGOS session on February 20. For those of you not familiar with the program, LOGOS is truly Christian theology in action! There are four parts of LOGOS based upon the actions of first generation Christians:
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42, New King James Version).
During LOGOS, children and their adult leaders participate together in Bible Study, Worship, Recreation, and Dinner. As we gather together each Tuesday, LOGOS is a practice arena in which young people and adults work on treating one another as God intended, with love and respect.
I know current and past volunteers and children have been blessed from participating in LOGOS. It is the Christian relationship that participants form with one another – young and adult – for which participants are most thankful. I am certainly thankful for the relationships my children and I have formed with our LOGOS family.
To keep the program vibrant and available for future sessions, we need “fresh” volunteers to participate. Please join us in prayer that God will send us the needed volunteers. If you are interested in LOGOS and feel led to be a part of this program, please know there are a variety of ways to serve and you are not required to be present every night.
The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. (Proverbs 11:25, New King James Version).
For our upcoming session, volunteers are needed for the following positions:
· Bible Study Assistants: The kids will learn about the “Super Heroes” of the New Testament. Help the leader keep kids focused on lessons and involved in discussions and activities. Contact Bible Study Leader Jennie Cundiff at email@example.com.
· Recreation Assistants: Assist leader, organize and implement fun games with the kids while making sure they treat each other with respect. Contact Recreation Leader Cindy Parsons at 304.276.3569 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
· Worship Assistants: Help guide kids in various worship activities, including singing and playing instruments. Musical experience is beneficial but not necessary. Contact Worship Leader Sheri English at email@example.com.
If you are called to action, we would love for you to join us in LOGOS. Together we can build Christian relationships and strive to treat one another as a CHILD OF GOD.
