Methodist Heritage Class
Thursday, May 2 – Thursday, Jun 6, 2024 (10 AM – 11 AM)
Interest in genealogy and family trees has exploded with the coming of DNA technology. Like the PBS show Finding Your Roots, tracing one’s faith heritage can be revealing and exciting. Do you know how we “Methodists” came to be? Do you know some things but are hazy about how we grew as a faith?
Join us for our “Heritage, History, Theology and How We Do Things” study led by Rev. Wayne Sayre. The six-week study will include Our Christian Heritage, John & Charles Wesley; Early Methodist Practice; Establishing the Methodist Episcopal Church; Church Divisions and Growth; varying emphases; Church Polity (governance); and many other topics.
The class begins Thursday, May 2, at 10:00 AM in the FLC. We will conclude on June 6. You can sign up on Realm or contact Mary Mallick.
